Sharing Assets from Office 365

As we start to move to blended and online learning we have to think about new ways to enhance collaborative work and Office 365 makes this possible. All staff and students have access to a range of applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook as well as personal storage known as OneDrive, to get started visit the Durham University Office 365 site. Using Office 365 can improve students digital literacy by allowing them to learn a suite of skills and applications that future employers will value.

Using your OneDrive can allow you to create an asset, set it to allowing editing and then share the link with students to allow them to work collaboratively.  The good thing is you have complete control on when you stop sharing which would work well for a timed group work activity. You can always manage the access to turn off the edit/share access or set an expiration date on the specific asset link access.

Read our guidance on sharing an Office 365 asset or visit the Office 365 support page for more information.
