Creating effective educational video using PowerPoint

In the midst of the current coronavirus situation, many of us will be exploring ways to adapt our teaching methods that will enable us to continue to provide our students with an excellent educational experience. Video is an effective way of being able to deliver our content while at the same time connecting with our students.

Many of us will have used PowerPoint to create and deliver our lectures and learning materials, but before now we possibly haven’t considered it as a tool that will enable us to create video. In this series of PowerPoint tutorials, we will look at some of the basic tools and techniques that will enable us to create high-quality, educational video for our students.

Why should we use video? In this video, we will examine the design theory and pedagogy that are key to creating an effective educational video.

It is hoped that some of these tips and ‘golden rules’ will enable or even inspire you to create some interesting and engaging content for your students.
